My Music

My biggest passion next to my family is my music.  Music has always been a big part of my life, and has been my place I go when the rest of the world seems to be too much to handle.  I've been blessed with so many friends throughout the years, and most of these songs have something to do with one of them.  I've only had formal piano lessons for a few months until I finally drove my teacher crazy because I improvised too much.  So most of my abilities have been self-taught - I'm sure you'll hear that.  =-)  Enjoy.

My Home
The first song I ever wrote.  I was 19, and bought my first keyboard.  This is actually a remake of that song.
Creed
A very good friend of mine shared a poem about her Creed, so we put it to music.  She was 14 or 15 when she sang this.
Down on Bended Knee
Tough times need good friends.  Nuff said.
Greatest Love
End of my Journey
This is the only song on this list that isn't original.  I heard it in a movie once, so I sat down and played it.  It is one of my favorites.
For Tamara
The song I wrote for my wife when we were dating.  A little romance never hurt anyone.
Bluest Eyes
Up Where The Angels Roam
Too personal - but this is for a very, very dear friend.
Pray for Me
Most people seem to like Pray For Me the best.  It was a song I wrote for a very good hunting friend of mine who was dying of brain cancer.  It was one of the hardest things seeing him in a wheelchair not able to speak.  But one thing I remember is how much I could tell he loved his family and friends.  So I wrote this song.  I finished the recording at about 2:30am one morning, and the next morning I got a call from his Son that he had past away in the middle of the night.  He never got to hear it, but I'm sure he's out there listening somewhere.
Irish Blessing
Amazing Grace
Baptism of My Son
This is by far my favorite song.  More for the emotional side of things than anything.  I tried to sing it at Dominic's baptism, but only made it about 3/4 of the way through before the tears started rolling.  But I'm sure Dominic didn't mind.  He is the most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life - and this song is for him.
Sonnet 17

This is one of my favorite songs to play.  I watched a movie (Patch Adams) and heard a poem called Sonnet 17.  The poem touched me deeply, so I went upstairs and hit the record button on the piano.  This is what came out that day - there were no retakes - and all the mistakes are just as they were the first time the piano ever heard that song. I added the vocals later.

You Raise Me Up
Sung with the South Canyon Lutheran Church Choir on 11/6/2005

All I Know
Song that stopped my world the first time I heard it.
